This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Affleck-Kennedy-Lieb-Tasaki (AKLT) model, an exactly solvable model for quantum spins in one dimension, which illustrated and foreshadowed many key properties of low-dimensional interacting systems. This three-day workshop held at SBQMI in Vancouver will provide an opportunity for researchers to discuss the important developments influenced by the AKLT paradigm, including the most recent progress, experimental connections, outstanding open questions, and exciting future directions.
